 Cheryl B. Engelhardt, a composer turned performer, turned do-it-yourself music industry phenomena, has taken years of musical training, work experience in New York’s top production and composing studios, and passion as a touring and recording singer/songwriter to create the film scoring and soundtrack solution company, Wrapped Up Music. Cheryl’s degree in music from Cornell University and her experience in recording studios, both as an employee and as a client, developed her technical chops early on. After diving into the advertising world, first at the editing powerhouse Crew Cuts Film and Tape, then 3 years as music supervisor and composer for BigFoote Music, a jingle house that writes for Fortune 500 company ads and documentaries, Cheryl gained a deep appreciation for scoring moving images and enhancing film with music. She has scored nationally airing commercials like Lowes, Bristol Meyers and American Express, and worked on documentaries such as “The Last Atomic Bomb” as well as exercise and yoga videos. Wishing to continue to record and promote her own albums, and take on scoring projects that inspire her, Cheryl detached from the corporate world. She has performed on FOX, ABC and NBC regional news shows, been featured twice in Keyboard Magazine, and has won a variety of song-writing competitions. Through her creation Wrapped Up Music (based on a song from her recent record, “Craving The Second”), Cheryl provides custom scores, licensing, music supervision and sound advice.
